How to deal with bullies at school

deal with bullies at school

Avoiding

  • Mainly for bullies that are not persistent
  • Avoid contact before, during, and after class
  • If it's occurring after class, don't be afraid to leave a few minutes early

Talking To Teachers

  • This seems stupid, how could it work?
  • Take a different approach, do not talk to teachers who can't handle their class's troublemakers
  • Approach and talk to serious teachers that can maintain order in their class
  • Explain the situation, this can escalate to the principal if it's serious enough

Stick To Friends

  • A lot of the times bullying occurs is when the victim is alone
  • If this isn't possible in the current situation, blend in a crowd
  • Bullies do not often want to make a scene, as they intend to get away with it

Ignore Them

  • If you can take it, take it, don't hold a grudge
  • Think of them as idiots who do stupid things because they are idiots
  • School is only a small part of one's life
  • Eventually they may give up as they aren't getting the results they want

Talking To Parents

  • They are always there for you, don't hold the burden by yourself
  • Explain to them what's happening, even if there's no instant results
  • Talking to others about it is better than keeping it all to yourself
  • Parents are there to help you, it is your responsibility to ask for it

Stand Up For Yourself

  • As mentioned above, bullies do what they do because they intend to get away with it
  • Stand up for yourself, tell them you aren't going to deal with their crap anymore
  • Fighting back can lead to trouble to both sides, use your own judgement, think before action

Last Resort

  • If you cannot take it anymore, go all out
  • One way too do this is if it's that serious, call the police, they will hear you out
  • Take it through legal court, create evidence such as video recordings, give them one last warning
